Job PurposeTo provide accurate and current tax and trust support to existing international customers as per their requirements in order to maintain and enhance the reputation of CLI & CLIAI within the market place and to support the International business proposition.
Duties/Responsibilities - To provide current, relevant advice and guidance in respect of back office and existing business queries, acting as a lead point of contact within the FM Technical team, researching and responding to queries, incorporating an awareness of technical and tax developments to ensure all issues are considered.
- Supporting ad-hoc projects and risk event work groups in existing business by sitting on project teams and providing technical expertise.
- To produce accurate Chargeable Events Certificates within time scales as agreed with the customer and assist in the annual reporting of chargeable events to HMRC where required.
- To assist in the production and review of accurate, readable technical support documentation for both internal and external use within the business.
- To assist in the design of and provision of training and support to Customer Services (CS) and other back office teams in respect of our relevant trust and product range and chargeable event processes, where required by the business.
- To ensure that personal technical knowledge is maintained at the expected high standard in order to protect the reputation of the Company within the market place.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience - Good working knowledge of technology - keeping abreast of current developments and trends in the marketplace.
- Excellent knowledge of the UK taxation system and how life assurance bonds are taxed is essential.
- Co-operates with other team members to resolve problems and achieve goals, sharing ideas, skills and knowledge.
- The ability to demonstrate building and maintaining effective relationships
- Ability to demonstrate highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team but can equally work well on your own.
